About

I’m a software engineer in Vancouver. I build and ship full-stack web apps end to end: three are live right now, plus an open-source npm package that draws the chart at the bottom of this page.

I care about the parts users never see: writing tests, keeping pages fast and accessible, and making deploys boring. I also teach computer science and full-stack development at Langara College (before that, BCIT and UBC CS), and six years of explaining systems to beginners keeps me honest about the fundamentals.

I walk almost everywhere (thanks Vancouver), say hi to the neighbourhood cats, squirrels, and dogs. When I can get to the mountains, I hike; the rest of the time it’s public transit, bike share, and my own two feet.
